Granite Install

My buddy is being told by the fab/installer that they can demo is tile Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops in one day, come back the next and (http://maplered.com) make a template and (http://maplered.com) then come the 3rd and (http://maplered.com) install his new Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops.  When we had Ours done 5 years ago it took right around 3 weeks, as they had to level our cabinets and (http://maplered.com) cut the Stone (http://g603.net) .  The installer is saying " thats the old way they did it"   How is this sounding? correct or ???  Thanks !!!!
